New Puppy Vaccine and Examination Schedule

Congratulations on your new puppy!  Below is a list of services that we will provide for your pet in his or her first weeks of life.  Please check out the other handouts in this section for more information on training, feeding and caring for your new dog.

 

Age 6-8 Weeks

 

 

Read the American Animal Hospital Association’s full list of recommended services for all life stages of a dog.

 

Age 10-12 Weeks

 

  • Preventative Care Exam
  • 2nd Distemper/parvo vaccine
  • 1st Lyme vaccine
  • 1st Lepto vaccine
  • Continue heartworm preventive
  • Continue Flea/Tick preventive
  • Begin puppy classes

 

Age 14-16 Weeks

 

  • Preventative Care Exam
  • Final Distemper/parvo vaccine
  • Final Lyme vaccine
  • Final Lepto vaccine
  • Rabies vaccine, tag & certificate
  • Continue heartworm preventive
  • Continue Flea/Tick preventive
  • Spay or Neuter your puppy
