Northfield Pet Impound at Countryside Animal Hospital

 

Animals picked up by the City of Northfield/ Northfield Police will be impounded at Countryside Animal Hospital if owners are unable to be contacted immediately via ID tag or microchip.

 

Only Northfield Police Can Drop Off Stray Animals at Countryside

 

Residents cannot drop off stray animals that are found in Northfield at Countryside Animal Hospital.  Stray animals can only be brought to Countryside Animal Hospital by the Northfield Police who can be reached at the non-emergency number 507 645 4477.

 

How To Reclaim an Impounded Animal

 

To reclaim an animal, owners should go to the Northfield Police Station to pay fees and  to provide proof of the animal’s current rabies vaccination. If the animal is not current on rabies vaccination, one will be given by Countryside Animal Hospital before the animal is released. If an animal is impounded after business hours or on the weekend, the animal cannot be released until the next business day that Countryside Animal Hospital is open.
